Fall Manifesto: Embrace God’s Timing

Fall Manifesto: Seizing God’s Season

As we step into the fall, this season marks more than just the changing of leaves or the onset of cooler days. It’s a divine reminder of God’s timing and providence, urging us to embrace the season we’re in with intention. Every moment we are given is sacred and filled with purpose. Too often, we wait for what feels like the “right” time, but God’s timing is rarely predictable—it is divine, perfect, and often unexpected.

Embrace the Now

In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we’re reminded that “to everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” This fall, I encourage you to stop waiting for ideal conditions. Whatever you’ve felt God calling you to do—whether it’s deepening your relationship with Him, pursuing a passion, or achieving personal goals—the time is now. Seize this season before it slips away.

Avoid Apathy Toward God’s Work

The work of God continues with or without our participation, but how sad it would be to miss out on what He is doing because we’ve grown comfortable or apathetic. This season, let’s commit to eliminating apathy—towards our purpose, the ministry we are called to, and even the political and social movements happening around us. Our faith requires action—be it through prayer, outreach, or political engagement. Staying involved in our communities and the world at large is a part of kingdom work.

Press Toward the Goals Set in January

As the year draws toward its end, many of us will look back and see unfinished resolutions or goals we set with high hopes in January. Instead of succumbing to disappointment, let’s remember that God’s timing differs from ours. There’s still time to accomplish what we’ve set out to do. By walking in step with God’s timing, we may find that even in the last quarter of the year, He’s able to bring things to completion in ways we never expected.
